Biographies:
 

Civic Award Honoring Deceased Members of Columbia Fire Company:

Bangor Area High School: Madelyn Ott - Throughout her four years at Bangor Area High School, Madelyn was actively involved in numerous student and athletic activities. Madelyn served on the Jr. Class Cabinet, played Softball and Tennis her Freshman through Senior Year. She was also a member of the Girls Track and Field team. Madelyn was also a volunteer coach for UMBT softball, North Warren 10u Softball and a coach at the BHS youth tennis clinic. She volunteered at the Portland Community Days Kids Game booth, Blairstown clean-up days and was an Elementary Summer school teaching assistant. Madelyn plans on attending Ursinus College in the Fall, majoring in Biology.

Faith Christian - Joshua Blair - While at Faith, Joshua served as class treasurer for his junior and senior years and as the treasurer for Student Council his senior year. He was inducted into the National Honor Society in his sophomore year and served as NHS president in his senior year. He played on the school soccer team in grades 9 - 11. He has participated in his church youth group and in Boy Scouts throughout his four years of high school. Joshua worked his way up to Senior Patrol Leader of his Boy Scouts troop. He earned his Eagle Scout rank as well as the Brotherhood rank in the Order of the Arrow. Joshua plans to attend Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, to pursue mechanical engineering.
