Biographies:
Sportsmanship Award in Memory of Joseph "Coach" Romano:
Nick Goffredo - is a senior at Pius X High School. While in school, Nick was a member of the Football, Baseball, and Wrestling Teams. He was a captain of the Football team his Senior year. Nick plans on attending King College in the fall and playing football.
Asher Schiavone - is a senior at Bangor Area High School. Asher was a member of the Baseball and Basketball Team where he was Team Captain his senior year. Asher plans on attending West Chester University in the fall.
Seth Dempsey - is a senior at Faith Christian School in Roseto. Seth was a member of the Soccer Team where he was on the League All-Star team, and the Baseketball team where he was on the All Conference Team 2 years. Seth will attend Northampton Community College in the Fall.
Civic Award Honoring Deceased Members of Columbia Fire Company:
Stephen Reider - is a senior at Pius X High School. Stephen is a member of the Knights of Columbus Squires, the Pro-Life Club, an Alter Server at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, and on the Set-up Team for annual Big-Time Celebration. Stephen will attend East Stroudsburg University in the fall.
Mariah Mulitsch - is a senior at Bangor Area High School. Mariah is a Counseler at the Bangor Recreation and Field Hockey Camp, a volunteer at the Slate Belt Heritage Center,and participated in the Relay for Life. She participated in the SGA leadership program at Moravian College and the Special Olympics. Mariah plans on attending Moravian College in the fall.
Amanda Archer - is a senior at Faith Christian School in Roseto. She is an EMT with Wind Gap and Plainfield Twsp. Ambulance, she taught CPR to local Girl Scout Troops, and active in her local Church (Ministers for Nursing Homes). In the fall Amanda will attend the Kutztown University.
